Work Culture @ ebusinessware

Today, I received a call from our HR to share my views on my experience with ebusinessware. I have been with this company for last six years, in 2004 I joined as software engineer in a very challenging dot net project ‘STEN’. That point of time we were using cutting edge technologies and tools like web service for data communication with smart client offline working capability and LDAP security. Its a good strategy tool with ‘Click Once’ deployment feature. In a nut shell we were using latest Microsoft technologies in development as well as deployment.
Our management appreciated my work and promoted me as team lead with a new project ‘FINT’ a portfolio management project, in which we were loading lot of data every day and processed it every night. Handling a huge database was next challenge for us. We were using SQL server 2000 to store hundred of GBs data and process it every night. This led us to be an expert in writing optimized queries and complex stored procedures. Integration of heterogeneous technologies was another challenge. My team performed so well that maintenance and enhancements of this project are still with ebusinessware and client is very much happy with us.
In the mean time, we received a migration project from Prudential insurance. As a Project Lead, I had to migrate around 15 VB applications dotnet technology. These applications used by the Prudential brokers for policy calculations. Again heterogeneous environment was challenge for us. These applications were using a lot of DLLs, components and calculation engines written in Cobol and VC++. Performance and backward compatibility was major issue which we faced during that migration. Client pleased with our work and appraised us with new major migration project. These applications were more complicated in term of business. ebusinessware successfully delivered all these applications within stipulated time frame.
I also worked with open source technologies at ebusinessware. These projects were good from project management point of view. I shared my experience to make these applications more robust and scalable.
At ebusinessware one can get an opportunity to work on financial domain with different technologies; hard work is always appreciated and rewarded. Like me there are endless success stories.
