Are most active people on Social Networks different in their Real Life?

Well may be it’s only my view but every single person I have met recently was way different than their image on social networks and interestingly most dynamic people dont’ even care about these new way of social mediums.

“We are not talking about the celebrities here” because they never are part of our social circle & they never will be.

Are people finding these social networks to be someone(active, dynamic, caring, thoughtful, smart,…) they cant’ be in their real life?

Is it another bubble which will burst in few years?

I am surprised with they way people behave where 90% of facebook comments on my wall never made any sense.

90% of twitter users dont’ really know why they are using it.

90% Linkedin users think they will get noticed professionally by recruitment firms or higher management.

Are you seeing same trends in your networks on social sites or is it only me?

No doubt, 90% of the people come to these social media centers for the sake of doing it, however, looking at the positive side, at least 10% of social media aficionados have something meaningful to contribute.

Combined power of these “meaningful” conversations is probably much more than imagined ever before when Twitter, Facebook were initiated.

Come to think of it, most of the people you talk to in any given day in a social setting are no more likely to be more than 10% rational. Similarly, no more than 10% of the books published in any given day produce sensible vibes :)
