Are you a spammer?

  • Are your users not getting emails/Newsletters you are sending?
  • Are email engines treating your email as spam
  • Are you getting too many bouncebacks?

Here are few tips to ensure a successful delivery to your customers:

1. Never send more than 5 messages in one connection

2. Opt in subscription should be clearly mentioned in emails e.g. you subscribed to this email list on [date] to unsubscribe click here

3. Segregate your mail streams by IP addresses, domains and/or DKIM selectors since Yahoo! i.e. promotional emails/Billing emails/Alerts/Digests should be segregated.

4. From address is important to have a correct email address from your domain

5. Email content should not have links to IP addresses use domain names instead

6. Don’t include HTML forms in emails

7. Don’t include Javascript in emails

8. Don’t include embedded objects in emails (like flash or ActiveX)

9. Honor unsubscribe requests as fast as you honor subscribe requests

10. Be CAN-SPAM compliant

11. Publish reverse DNS (PTR) records for your sending IPs, Maintain accurate reverse-DNS information for your mail servers

12. Secure your mail servers

13. Honor the scope of the list’s intent

14. Include valid unsubscribe links and periodically refresh your list

15. Remove email addresses that bounce

16. Pay attention to the responses from our SMTP servers

17. Use DKIM to authenticate your emails

and the last setup feedbackloops with Yahoo/AOL and other service providers
