First let’s understand what an Expediter Model means and signifies!!
Expediter Model was introduced to be a SPOC for the various Partners,Project Managers and Project Leads of the organization for the various HR related activities going on in the projects. The tasks could be related to a resource requirement in a project (both internal & external), Creation of a new project, Project office updating, Project updation on regular basis in case of employee resignation, in case of onshore or internal project transfer, percentage involvement of employees, Exit process of the employee, internal movement of the resources and providing all the information to the Project Leads related to projects. The responsibilities include working closely with the other teams like E-HR, E-RM for various issues related to new and existing employees.
Our experience…
My experience tells me that it’s really helped us iron Ebusinessware’s internal movement. Getting the requirement from the Project Leads and making sure if any internal employee getting released from a particular project can be utilized for the particular requirement.
Besides this, it Expediter’s model also enables coordination with the Project Leads and respective team members to generate monthly timesheet reports. And if you thought that grievance handling is more of a heavy task, then we aimed to make this easier- Handling the he different issues of the new joiners as well as existing employees is being kept on topmost priority as they epitomize Ebusinessware. All issues relating to Projects, Accounts, Immigration and Admin are made to divide and are handled by the respective departments appropriately.
Expediter model’s main competency lied in establishing unique crystal-clear processes for effective Project management. The first of which includes creating a new project provided by our partners. Next is Project office updation for the existing and new projects. Another coherent step being- Project updation on regular basis in case of employee resignation, in case of onshore or internal project transfer. This initiative is further blended with advantages obtained out of effective MIS keeping- another strong key point in keeping the project in line with company practices and policies.
MIS upkeeping involves handling of the various reports like Active people, project people and timesheets. Next would be to create an apt database that houses all relevant info relating to their skill inventory and consolidation. Keeping all info composite and error-free also comes at top priority at execution level. Being able to provide all pertinent project info to all PLs is also made possible here. Lastly, the need for having to work on extensive employee-related information like experience, skills, billing status, technology and platform etc is met with through a robust expediter model at Ebusinessware.
Conclusion ….
The crux is that this model is a one-stop shop for all alignment of processes, departments, personnel, issues and resources. It is a tangible step that leads to synchronization of efforts at Ebusinessware, at every step.
