Working with ebusinessware….happiness!

Working in ebusinessware – EBW as we call it while talking to colleagues around – who are not just colleagues, but very often, are good friends too – is not just a source of pleasure, but in fact, is a pleasure itself.

Each day brings a new challenge – sometimes more than one too - very often through an e-mail in the morning, sometimes followed by a telephonic conversation with a colleague on the other side of earth – a person at the dead of night, waiting - to talk to us, to discuss a riddle in form of an issue, which for a programmer could be a only fixing of a single line of code, or testing of a screen, but for clients it, very often, is something ensuring that their core business runs smoothly – without any unexpected hitches - or even expected ones too, for that matter.

Challenges – yes, they make life look a bit miserable at times, people leaning forward at keyboards for whole days –typing vigorously – scribbling, drawing something on notebooks – then checking it with team…transforming that impression of ink formed on paper into bits, nibbles and bytes inside the computer – often skipping lunches in the process.

But the end product is happiness – not just the money or business (for organization), or not even, yes, a wow-sounding-appraisal – it is the satisfaction which comes from inner-self on successful completion of a task – of a whole project – a satisfaction of knowing that the sound, and of-course, a beautiful one too, architecture created by – “the-grand-me/my-team” is going to work just - not magically, but flawlessly; just as it was expected by another teams in far away countries…and by their own respective clients, a.k.a. end users.

This happiness is what pulls (and not pushes) us to work each day – with a positive stance of mind. The happiness which comes from knowing that a new challenge would be waiting for us at work- waiting for getting triumphed over by the team, by each individual. It comes from the knowledge that each day brings a new opportunity to prove the mettle in us.

Each new day of work – of coming to EBW – and working here brings happiness…no, it does not bring happiness, but it is happiness in itself.
