Important for QA - Analytical Ability or Technical background?

I believe analytical ability is THE most important for a tester. As one enters into an organization, the analytical ability helps him/her to get the business domain knowledge.
BUT IS TECHNICAL BACKGROUND NECESSARY FOR A QA?
No I dont’ think TECHNICAL BACKGROUND is necessary for QA, any one can learn how to work with few tools. I think key factor is to learn business & it’s process everyone know about dabbawala’s( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dabbawalas ) they are now part of Six Sigma group.
